Replace a failed or malfunctioning BMW BDC2 without starting over with dealership replacement programming.

We transfer the vehicle-specific data from the original BDC2 (Body Domain Controller) to a compatible replacement BDC2, allowing the replacement module to retain the vehicle's existing immobilizer, key, and configuration information.

This service supports select BMW vehicles equipped with BDC2 modules, including certain G-Series models.

Symptoms

1. Original BDC2 has failed or is malfunctioning.

2. Vehicle has electrical, starting, central locking, or communication problems traced to the BDC2.

3. A used or replacement BDC2 has been purchased but does not operate correctly in the vehicle.

4. Vehicle will not start after installing a replacement BDC2.

6. Original BDC2 has suffered water damage or other electrical damage and requires replacement.

Service Options

Standard BDC2 Cloning – $455

For BDC2 modules where the original module can be read normally and the required vehicle-specific data can be transferred to a compatible replacement BDC2.

This service includes transferring the required immobilizer information, VIN, and supported configuration data.

Advanced BDC2 Cloning / Data Recovery – Starting at $595

For BDC2 modules with communication, memory, or data-access problems requiring additional diagnosis or recovery work.

Advanced recovery is dependent on the condition of the original module, the availability of usable data, and the specific hardware version.

Not all damaged or unreadable BDC2 modules can be recovered. Additional charges require customer approval.

Terms of Sale

1. This service is specifically for supported BMW vehicles equipped with a BDC2 (Body Domain Controller).

2. Customer must provide the original BDC2 and a compatible replacement BDC2.

3. Include at least one working vehicle key/fob with the modules.

4. We transfer the required vehicle-specific immobilizer, key authorization, VIN, and supported configuration data from the original BDC2 to the replacement BDC2.

5. The replacement should match the original BMW part number whenever possible. If the part numbers differ, contact us before purchasing the service.

6. Both new and used replacement BDC2 modules may be supported, subject to compatibility verification.

7. This is a mail-in cloning and programming service. A replacement BDC2 module is not included unless specifically purchased separately.

8. Standard cloning requires the original BDC2 data to be accessible and readable.

9. Modules with damaged, corrupted, or inaccessible data may require Advanced BDC2 Cloning / Data Recovery.

10. Additional vehicle modules or components may be required if an immobilizer synchronization or configuration issue is discovered. We will contact the customer before performing additional work.

11. Physical circuit-board repair, corrosion repair, and component replacement are not included.

12. Bench testing includes verifying module communication and transferred data where supported. Complete vehicle functionality can only be confirmed after installation.

13. This service does not correct existing vehicle wiring faults, electrical shorts, or problems caused by other damaged components.

14. BDC3, BDC-03, and other unsupported BDC generations are not included in this service.

How It Works

1. Purchase the appropriate BDC2 cloning service.

2. Shipping instructions will be provided after purchase.

3. Remove and ship the following:

   • Original BDC2

   • Replacement BDC2

   • At least one working vehicle key/fob

4. Clearly label the modules "Original" and "Replacement."

5. We read and back up the available vehicle-specific information from the original BDC2.

6. The required immobilizer, VIN, and supported configuration data are transferred to the replacement BDC2.

7. The replacement module is checked for communication and the transferred data is verified.

8. Both BDC2 modules and the key/fob are returned.

9. Ground return shipping via USPS, UPS, or FedEx is included for eligible domestic orders.

Important

This service is specifically for vehicles equipped with a supported BDC2 module.

BMW vehicles may use different generations of Body Domain Controllers, including older BDC modules, BDC2, and newer BDC3 systems.

Not all BMW G-Series vehicles use BDC2. Module type and compatibility depend on the vehicle's production date, hardware version, and BMW part number.

BDC2 cloning does not repair every type of module failure.

If the original module has severe physical damage, corrupted memory, or inaccessible immobilizer information, additional recovery work or another repair approach may be necessary.

If a vehicle has suffered flood or water damage, the electrical system should be inspected and any external wiring shorts or power-supply problems corrected before installing the replacement BDC2.

Compatibility varies by production date and module version.

Newer vehicles may use BDC3 or another generation not covered by this service.

Compatibility is determined by the actual BDC hardware and part number, not simply by the vehicle's model year.
