Yes. We successfully cloned a Mazda CX-30 PAJ8-18-881 Mitsubishi Electric ECU using Flex in Bench mode, and the replacement ECU was installed and confirmed working in the vehicle.
Here's what we found and how we did it.
Identifying the Mazda PAJ8 ECU
The original ECU was:

Correct identification is important because newer Mazda applications can use different ECU manufacturers and hardware families. This particular PAJ8 is a Mitsubishi Electric ECU, not Denso.

Finding the Correct Flex Protocol
Searching the exact Mitsubishi hardware number in Flex revealed dedicated support for:

Reading the Original and Donor
We performed multiple Full Backup reads of both the original and replacement ECUs before programming.
