Replace a failed BMW or MINI FEM without starting over with dealership programming.

We transfer the vehicle-specific data from the original FEM to a compatible replacement FEM so the replacement can be installed back into the vehicle with the existing key and immobilizer system retained.

Symptoms

1. Original FEM has failed or is malfunctioning.

2. Vehicle has electrical, starting, or communication problems traced to the FEM.

3. A replacement or used FEM has been purchased but does not operate correctly in the vehicle.

4. Vehicle will not start after installing another FEM.

5. Replacement FEM needs to be matched to the vehicle's existing immobilizer and key system.

Service Options

Standard FEM Cloning – $355

For FEM modules where the original module can be read normally and the required vehicle data can be transferred to the replacement FEM.

Advanced FEM Cloning / Data Recovery – $435

For FEM modules where the original module has communication, memory, or data-access problems requiring additional recovery work.

Advanced recovery is dependent on the condition of the original FEM and available data.

Terms of Sale

1. This service is for BMW and MINI vehicles equipped with an FEM (Front Electronic Module).

2. Customer must provide the original FEM and a compatible replacement FEM.

3. Include at least one working vehicle key/fob with the modules.

4. We transfer the required vehicle-specific, immobilizer, key, and configuration data from the original FEM to the replacement FEM.

5. The replacement FEM should match the original part number whenever possible. If the part numbers are different, contact us before purchasing the service.

6. This is a mail-in programming and cloning service. An FEM module is not included unless specifically purchased separately.

7. Standard cloning requires the original FEM data to be readable.

8. Modules with corrupted, damaged, or inaccessible data may require Advanced FEM Cloning / Data Recovery.

9. Additional modules such as the DME may be required if an immobilizer synchronization issue is discovered. We will contact Customer before performing additional work.

10. Physical circuit-board repair is not included with this cloning service.

How It Works

1. Purchase the appropriate FEM cloning service.

2. Shipping instructions will be provided after purchase.

3. Remove and ship:

• Original FEM

• Replacement FEM

• At least one working key/fob

4. Clearly label the modules "Original" and "Replacement."

5. We read the vehicle-specific information from the original FEM and transfer the required data to the replacement FEM.

6. The replacement FEM is checked for communication and the transferred data is verified.

7. Both FEM modules and the key/fob are returned.

8. Ground return shipping via USPS, UPS, or FedEx is included.

Important

This service is specifically for vehicles equipped with an FEM.

BMW and MINI vehicles may use FEM, BDC, CAS, or other immobilizer systems depending on the model and production date.

We can verify the application before the modules are shipped.

FEM cloning cannot repair every type of FEM failure. If the original FEM has severe physical damage or corrupted memory, additional recovery work or another repair approach may be necessary.

This service covers select BMW and MINI F-Series vehicles equipped with an FEM Front Electronic Module.

Compatibility is determined by the vehicle's module type and part numbers, not simply by model year.
